As Vice President, Managing Director, Kristien Brada-Thompson manages the efforts of Priority's publicity and marketing professionals and directs multiple domestic and international campaigns. She develops extensive trade and consumer publicity plans for clients that include television networks, program distributors, producers, creative agencies, technology companies and non-profits. Instrumental in launching channel brands around the world, Brada-Thompson's efforts have generated game-changing coverage by top trades, business outlets, TV/radio programs and blogs.
With a background encompassing 15 years in entertainment, Brada-Thompson has acquired a specialized and unique knowledge base that blends publicity, brand management and journalism. She was responsible for building TOKYOPOP's PR machine from the ground up by developing comprehensive trade and consumer programs, an extensive media database and effective reporting and measurement tools. Brada-Thompson secured extensive press coverage for TOKYOPOP, including profiles in Fortune Small Business, BusinessWeek, Entrepreneur, Los Angeles Times and on CNBC. She also garnered frequent entertainment trade coverage, top 20-market newspaper features and national consumer magazine stories, all of which helped turn the company into a leader in its space.
At FMiTV Networks, Brada-Thompson led the youth portal's editorial team and directed all PR efforts, including promotion of the international webcast for KIIS-FM's Wango Tango music festival. Prior to joining FMiTV, she managed the publicity for Emap USA's licensing division, where she helped garner national attention for the consumer publishing giant's key branding initiatives.
Brada-Thompson is also a freelance journalist, whose portfolio includes multiple features in Daily Variety and other entertainment publications. She graduated from UCLA with a B.A. in English Literature and an emphasis in Communication Studies.
