ROCK EN CONTACTO DF

Miami, FL April 30, 2012 –The international broadcast of ONCE TV MÉXICO, a network owned by Instituto Politécnico Nacional, will premiere its new reality series Rock en Contacto DF, a search to find the best new band or soloist in Mexico City, on Sunday, May 6 at 1:30p.m. ET/10:30am PT.

Rock en Contacto DF is an innovative contest that utilizes social media to find the band with the best sound and largest following. Contestants will create Facebook pages and YouTube channels to inform viewers of their sound, their background and why they should be selected to compete in the grand finale that will accommodate only three bands.

Over 140 videos had been registered to compete in the series, from which only 12 were selected for the next round of competition, based on the bands' performances, the creativity of each band's video, the on-stage look and originality of the band and the band's proposal.

Through each episode of Rock en Contacto DF, the audience will witness the selection process of the best bands and soloists, including private auditions for experts to comment about their interpretation and style, as well as support by famous musicians on their way to the grand finale.

Only three bands will get to the finals with the winning band receiving a professional recording and distribution of their songs by EMI Music, sponsored by Once TV México and Revista Marvin.
