Nickelodeon HD joins Poland's leading Pay TV Satellite services' lineup, bundled into the introduction of its
Kids XL package which includes 4 new kids channels
WARSAW, Poland, December 19, 2011 – In a move to expand its children's film and TV program offerings, Platform 'n' is launching a new kids package that will consist of Nickelodeon HD, which marks the introduction of the first kids and youth HD channel for Poland's leading pay TV satellite service. Bundling Nickelodeon HD, along with the three other new channels to be known as Kids XL package, the new suite of channels will bring a wide selection of kids programming that focuses on fun, learning and family values as well as kid-friendly content that promotes a healthy and active family lifestyle.
Additionally, Platform 'n' also announced it will add Nick Jr., aimed at preschoolers and their parents to its existing kids package, which also includes Nickelodeon –first of the three Nickelodeon services available in Poland.
In making the announcement, Christian Anting, Vice President and COO of Platform 'n,' noted that according to a recent customer survey conducted by Platform n, the majority of its subscribers were satisfied with the Platform n pay-tv service, but subscribers' level of satisfaction was lower with regard to the children's channels available through the service.
"After looking at the survey, it became clear that we needed to address this issue. We believe that the best way to expand our children's programming offer was to investment in bringing the Nickelodeon channels to our subscribers," said Anting. "Together with Nickelodeon, Nick HD and Nick Jr., we are creating a perfect complement of common values. Nickelodeon's three channels deliver a high amount of educational programs for kids, integrated with child & family friendly content. These are the channels our subscribers most often cite, so our new Kids XL package is perfectly suited to meet their demands. The new Kids XL package will give our customers greater access to an even larger amount of kids focused content and engaging educational programming."

The new Kids XL package will be available at no cost as of January 2012 for an initial three month period to all Platform 'n' subscribers.
Information on the Nickelodeon suite of channels is as follows:
Nick Jr., aimed at 2-6 year olds, features a mix of originally produced programming and series including "Dora the Explorer," "Wonder Pets", "Go, Diego, go!" and "Bubble Guppies". Nick Jr. is free of commercials and its line-up of safe preschool programming promotes educational values and learning through play.
Nickelodeon HD, which targets kids and youth, features live action and animated series, including Penguins of Madagascar, iCarly, Big Time Rush, Supah Ninjas and Kung Fu Panda, presented for the very first time in high definition. The channel launched in Poland in October 2011 and is a commercial-free channel, available at select operators and DTH platforms. It is the first high definition service aimed at kids and youth, available in Poland.
Nickelodeon, home of the "Kids' Choice Awards" is the flagship channel aimed at kids between the ages of 4-15 with a special morning block of programming, aimed at preschoolers. Nickelodeon offers fun for the entire family with offerings ranging from "SpongeBob SquarePants", "iCarly", "Victorious", "Penguins of Madagascar" to the new original series "House of Anubis."
